There is going to be a change in toll tax for passengers traveling from Noida to Agra. Toll fee on Yamuna Expressway will increase from October 1, i.e. today.
Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has announced the new toll rate on this 165 km long route, which has been increased by 12 percent.
YEIDA has announced the new toll rates for all types of vehicles. Now the toll for light vehicles, such as cars and jeeps, will be Rs 2.95 per kilometer, while earlier it was Rs 2.60. The toll for two-wheelers was earlier Rs 1.25 per kilometer, which will now increase to Rs 1.50 per kilometer. Yamuna Expressway is one of the few expressways where toll is also charged on two-wheelers.
If you travel by car or jeep, the one-way toll will be around Rs 500. Whereas, for two-wheelers it will be around Rs 250. YEIDA CEO Arun Veer Singh said that Jaypee Infratech Limited was demanding an increase in the toll from 2021-22, but we did not allow this to happen in the interest of the general public. He said that there was no change in the toll in the last three years, and the 12 percent increase made now is equivalent to an average annual increase of 4 percent.
