Fine may be up to Rs 25 thousand

Let us tell you that the Government Regional Transport Office (RTO) is going to issue new vehicle rules from June 1, 2024. Under the new rules, people under 18 years of age who drive at high speed may have to pay a fine of up to Rs 25,000.

Which people will be fined how much?

  • Speeding: Fine of Rs 1000 to Rs 2000
  • Driving by a minor: Fine up to Rs 25,000
  • Driving without license: Fine of Rs 500
  • For not wearing helmet: fine of Rs 100
  • For not wearing seat belt: Rs 100 fine

At the same time, if you drive below the age of 18 years, your license will be canceled and you will not get a new license for 25 years. Apart from this, there is a provision for fine for violating other rules.

It is not necessary to go to RTO and take test for driving license.

If you are thinking of getting a driving license (Apply for Driving License) but are afraid of giving the test in RTO, then there is good news for you. The government is now making this process easier. Suppose you want to learn driving and get a license, but are hesitant in taking the test. So know that now you will not have to give the test only in RTO, from now on you will have a different option for the driving license test.

From June 1, you can also give driving license test in special private institutions recognized by the government. So if you want to take a license, then you can choose this new option. This can make the journey of becoming a licensed driver a little easier.

Driving license can be made even at the age of 16

If a person has turned 18 years of age then he can get his driving license. But you would hardly know that a license for a motorcycle with a capacity of 50 cc can be obtained even at the age of 16 years. However, this license will have to be updated after turning 18.

When is the driving license valid?

Let us tell you that the validity of driving license is 20 years from the date of receipt. You will have to update your license after 10 years and then after 5 years after the age of 40 years.

It is necessary to renew driving license

It is necessary to renew your driving license when its validity expires or on the same day. For this you will have to go to the local RTO (Zonal Office) near you. Generally there are two types of driving licenses –

Private: If you drive a private car then this license is for you. After making it, there is no need to renew it for 20 years or till you turn 50 (whichever is earlier).

Commercial: This license is for those who drive commercial vehicles like taxi, truck etc. It has to be renewed every three years.

If you have a commercial license or your age is more than 40 years, then at the time of renewing the license, you will have to get a health checkup done by a doctor and submit the medical certificate.
