As per data shared by CBSE, this year over 39 lakh students have registered for the CBSE board exams. Students can check and download their scorecards from the official websites – cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, results.digilocker.gov.in and umang.gov.in.
CBSE Class 12th Result: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today announced the results for the class 12 board exams 2024. Students can check and download their scorecards from the official websites cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, results.digilocker.gov.in and umang.gov.in.
This year, CBSE recorded an overall pass percentage of 87.98 per cent. The pass percentage this year has seen a minor increase by 0.65 per cent points. This year, the pass percentage of transgender declined by 10 points to 50 per cent while in 2023, it was 60 per cent.
The pass percentage among the girl students is 91.52 per cent this year as against 90.68 in the last year. The pass percentage among the boy students is 85.12 per cent this year. To avoid unhealthy competition, no merit list will be declared. CBSE will be issuing the merit certificate to the top 0.1 per cent of students who have scored the highest marks in the subjects.
The pass percentage in Trivandrum is the highest with 99.91 per cent followed by Vijaywada and Chennai with 99.04 per cent and 98.47 per cent respectively. While the lowest region wise score was secured Prayagraj with 78.25%, Noida (80.27%), Guwahati (82.05%), and Bhopal (82.46%).
20411 students registered themselves in foreign schools. 10908 students passed the examination making the overall pass percentage is 95.84.
Institution-wise the CTSA has topped with 99.23 per cent students passing from them followed by 98.90 per cent from JNVs and 98.81 per cent from KVs. The pass percentage among the govt-aided and govt schools is 91.42 per cent and 88.23 per cent respectively. The pass percentage in the independent schools is 87.70 per cent.
A total of 2,58,78,230 answer sheets were evaluated for both CBSE Classes 10 and 12, for which a total of 1,48,27,963 answer sheets were for the Class 10 examination, while a total of 1,10,50,267 answer sheets were for the Class 12 examination.
