How to apply for passport online
First visit the official website of Passport Seva https://passportindia.gov.in Go to.

Click on New User/Register Now

Register yourself here by entering your name, date of birth, mobile number and email ID.

Login to the portal using your User ID and Password

After registration you will have to login.

Apply for Fresh Passport Select option

After login, click on this option and fill all the required information like name, address etc.

Submit the form and schedule an appointment

After submitting the form click on “Pay and Schedule Appointment” option and select the date at your nearest Passport Seva Kendra.

How much will the fee be?

For a normal passport, a fee of about ₹1500 has to be paid. However, some additional fee is also charged for instant passport. You can pay through net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI. After payment, you will get a receipt which you can download.

You will get your passport at home

Go to the passport service center on the scheduled date and take the required documents with you. There, the information provided by you will be verified, which also includes police verification. After successful verification, the passport will be sent to your registered address.
